Free Supply of Stationery to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities (Including Jain Community), Students Studying in Class VI to XII (2009-10)

This scheme is for all government/aided/recognized public schools affiliated to Directorate of Education/Kendriya Vidyalaya/National Open School/Schools affiliated to NDMC/Delhi Cantonment Board.

Applications are invited from eligible students (as per criteria given below) for providing financial assistance to purchase stationary for their students. All SC/ST/OBC/Minority (including Jain community) students who have passed the annual/compartment exam and are currently on the rolls of the schools are eligible under the schemes.

Heads of government/aided schools affiliated to Directorate of Education should obtain application form(s) from eligible SC/ST/OBC/Minority students and submit the consolidated demand for the Financial Year 2009-10 to their educational district concerned. The remaining Heads of School should furnish consolidated statement regarding requirement of amount and furnish the same to this department. However, application of students may be retained by Heads of school for their record. Schools which are applying for the first time should indicate the same in their consolidated demand as "Fresh Application" and submit their proposal immediately or latest by the above said date. But in case of those schools which had obtained the amount during the Financial Year 2008-09 should also furnish the utilization certificate clearly wise i.e. SC/ST/OBC/Minority (including Jain community) & Class wise i.e. class VI to XII).

It may also be noted that Head of School(s) should furnish ECS details in the prescribed proforma so that required by them can be credited in to school account for further disbursement to students. In case of Government / Aided Schools affiliated to Directorate of Education, Heads of Schools should furnish ECS detail to District concerned along with the consolidated statement. The Dy. Director of the District concerned, in turn, may obtain the required amount from Dy. Director (Science & TV), Dte. of Education, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi-110024, who is the Nodal Officer on the subject. It is also to note tha the onus of disbursing the amount to eligible students and furnishing the utilization certificate therein is upon the Heads of School concerned.

Rates of Financial Assistance:

Class VI to VIII  -  Rs. 450/- Per Annum

Class IX to Class XII  -  Rs. 750 Per Annum

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Free supply of stationery to SC/ST/OBC/Minority student studying in class VI to VIII and class IX to XII.

2. The students should not have less than 70% attendance in the preceding academic year.

3. Family income should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- p.a. and the proof in the form of self declaration (self certified income certificate) as per format given below wil be required.

4. Should have SC/ST/OBC certificates issued by the competent authority of Delhi i.e. SDM/Dy. Commissioner, Delhi.
