Urdu literacy campaign of Shama Educational Society

New Delhi: Shama Educational and Polytechnic Society has been organizing, in cooperation with Urdu Academy of Delhi, an Urdu literacy campaign for one year at its Seelampur Centre in which about 30 girl students learnt Urdu. At the end of the campaign, Society's president, Mirza Shahid Changezi gave away certificates to the students and said that in today's world women and girls becoming educated is very essential and hence we shall continue this campaign in future. Society's secretary Dr. Faheem Baig speaking on the occasion said that if we have keep Urdu alive in the age, everyone of us will have to jointly struggle and carry on this campaign and Urdu academies also should open more and more such centres at different place. He warned that if this campaign was stopped, Urdu's condition will be very bad in coming years. Dr. Faheem Baig added that we are thankful to Urdu newspapers through whom the hope of keeping Urdu alive is being nurtured.
